I have a fever and the only perscription...

...its not cowbell.  It's almost that time of year again, and don't act like you don't know what I am talking about.   Baby, it's cold outside and I am a boy of summer.  Still don't know what I speak of?  The great Rogers Hornsby put it eloquently, "People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball.  I'll tell you what I do.  I stare out the window and wait for spring."

It seems like yesterday I was counting down the months until pitchers and catchers report but Spring Training camps are fully under way.  Hope Springs eternal for even the weakest of rosters; every team is currently undefeated and hopes to climb to the top (see Tampa Bay Rays v. 2008).  This is finally the year and let us hope it is the Chicago Cubs in 2009.  Eamus Catuli and Go Cubs!

It's almost Spring and I'm ready to move from my window to the infield grass.

Talk about energy foresight...

"I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."
-Thomas Edison

Too Connected?

Is there such a thing as feeling too connected?  Seriously, I feel like my crackberry tells everyone where I am and what I'm doing at all times.  Two different emails, texting, phone, media messages, blackberry messenger, google talk, twitter and now my blog.  What's next?

The next smartphone to engineer a "good" video camera will pave the way for the new form of twitter.  A combination of video twitter and blackberry messenger will allow friends and colleagues to chat seamlessly over their phones.  The James Bond in me wonders about the possibilities...a mobile iChat of sorts.
